German Children´s Cardiac Centre Sankt Augustin
By extending the Johanniter Hospital with a new building accommodating operating theatres, ICU, cardiology and cardiac surgical wards, the first German Cardiac Centre for Children was erected. This project was a very special challenge from a medical point of view, due to its pediatric focus. The need for short connections and child-oriented styling was a special challenge for the architects. The new building accommodates the cardiology, cardiac surgery, ICUs and four operating theatres.
