Academic Teaching Hospital Porz am Rhein
The hospital Porz am Rhein currently has 443 beds divided into 14 departments and is a trans-regional acute care provider with a focus on the treatment of vascular and heart disease and rheumatic complaints. A Master Plan formed the basis of the hospital development. Over several phases the Paediatric and Surgical Departments were completely rehabilitated, the main entrance redesigned, and an extension with five operating theatres was erected. Additionally the central sterilisation, emergency admittance area, and the radiology department were raised to current technical standards and their respective medical equipment was modernised.
